Whilst the weather up north has unfortunately denied England the opportunity to win back the urn in the Ashes, luckily the weather here in Surrey Heath held off as we were blessed with sunshine for our Chobham Summer Drinks Party.
At the Planning Applications Committee of Surrey Heath Borough Council held this evening (Thursday 29th June), two applications came become the committee.
The Chobham Sewage Treatment works, managed by Thames Water, recently suffered from a failure with the storm return pumps, causing a discharge into the Bourne. Michael Gove MP raised this as an urgent matter directly with the Chief Executive at Thames Water.
Surrey County Council (SCC) is investing £6.25 million into redeveloping Chobham and Lingfield Fire Stations, and are asking local residents to have their say on proposals.
Last Friday (10th June) Michael visited Wishmore Cross Academy, a boys’ SEMH school in Chobham to speak to the leadership team and to hear about the Academy’s ambitions for the future.
On Thursday, Richard Tear, Surrey County Councillor for Bagshot, Windlesham and Chobham visited the Countryside Estate Operations Team at their Chobham office.
