New laws have come into force today (26th October), to speed up the planning system, hold developers to account, cut bureaucracy, and encourage more councils to put in place plans to enable the building of new homes.

Last week I attended a Council for the Independent Scrutiny of Heathrow Airport (CISHA) meeting at Hounslow Council, the independent group for scrutiny of Heathrow Airport, in conversation with the Heathrow CEO and Liz Sugg (Chair of CISHA).

Progress is being on redeveloping the pavilion on the Recreation Ground in Lightwater. 

A meeting was held between Lightwater Councillors and Fields in Trust to discuss the re-development, with all sides committed to ensuring that the pavilion becomes a facility for the community.
