Shaun Garrett is a Surrey Heath Borough Councillor for the Old Dean.

Shaun is the Leader of the Conservative Group at Surrey Heath Borough Council. Shaun is honoured to have been re-elected to the Old Dean Ward which means he is able to carry on the great work he has been doing within this ward. Shaun had been on the Executive of Surrey Heath Borough Council since 2021. 2021-22 he had the Portfolio of Support of Safeguarding and 2022-23 he was the Deputy Leader of the Council, responsible for the portfolio of Economic Development & Transformation. 

Since moving to The Old Dean in 2004, Shaun has got involved in the community. Shaun was a governor at the Lorraine & Pine Ridge Federation and Cordwalles, standing down as Chair of Governors in 2021. He is a Governor at Collingwood College where he is Chair of the Welfare and Behaviour Committee. Shaun has been one of the driving forces on getting Club Dean Youth Club up and running working closely with partners across the Borough. He is also involved with The Old Dean Community Group (ODCOG) as a Trustee and former Chair. Shaun is a Trustee of Chloe's and Sophie's Special Earn Fund, having been interim Chair until May 2023. He is also the Surrey Heath Borough Council representative on Surrey Heath Age Concern.
