Josh currently works in the learning & development and IT industry specialising in technology-enhanced learning. Josh is a keen musician and does lots of work with a local youth music charity throughout the year. In 2015 he was awarded a Community Award by Sandhurst Town Council for his work locally in music education.

In May 2023, Josh was elected to Surrey Heath Borough Council as the ward Councillor for St Paul's.
