Stuart Black

Stuart Black was elected as a Borough Councillor for Frimley Green following a by-election October 14th 2021 and served until the countermanded election for Frimley Green in June 2023.

Stuart has lived in Frimley Green for 20 years, and has have worked in many industries from defence to healthcare, leading innovation and change.

Stuart lives with his partner Inta, her 16 year old daughter, and their 3 children they have became Special Guardians to, aged 10, 11 and 19. The youngest attend Frimley C of E school and the eldest is an apprentice at Direct Line.

Stuart is a Director/Trustee of national charity Family Rights Group, and a member of their Kinship Panel. He is also a member of the Social Work – People with Lived Experience (PLE) team at Kingston University, and a Trustee of The Family Support Group, a local charity supporting kinship and foster carers. 

In 2013, Stuart founded a mental-health start-up, focused on remediating the effects of childhood trauma.

As a Surrey Heath Borough Councillor, Stuart had a record of improving local services to better meet residents’ needs, and helped to improve communication lines between residents and local services, including with the local neighbourhood team from Surrey Police.

Stuart believes in teamwork across all levels of government and how by working effectively together, this can deliver real improvements. Whilst a Councillor, Stuart worked closely and proactively with our MP Michael Gove and the County Councillor for the division, Paul Deach, to deliver better solutions for Frimley Green.
