SHCA Selection Meeting

We are delighted to announce that Ed McGuinness was tonight selected to be the Parliamentary Candidate for the Surrey Heath Conservative Association.

Twelve years ago, Ed stood on the steps of RMA Sandhurst as a commissioned officer in the British Army, now he stands ready to represent you as our candidate in the upcoming General Election.

Originally from Belfast, Ed studied Mathematics at the University of St. Andrews where he was commissioned in the Territorial Army. Upon graduation, Ed was commissioned as a regular Army officer in 2012 after attending RMAS. During his six years with the British Army, Ed served a tour in Afghanistan, and led teams in Kenya and Canada.

Upon leaving the Army in 2018, Ed become a chartered investor at JP Morgan and became involved in championing our Armed Forces as Director of the Conservative Friends of the Armed Forces. Until very recently, Ed was also the Chairman of the International Cultural Youth Exchange - UK charity, bringing volunteers from all over the world to experience the values and culture of the United Kingdom.

With a background of family, service, and hard-work, Ed will be a strong voice in Parliament for all of Surrey Heath, standing up for what matters most to local residents and being a passionate advocate for keeping our constituency a special place to live, work and grow up in.
