Surrey Heath Borough Council is proud to be supporting the Government’s Homes for Ukraine Scheme which has given the Surrey Heath community the opportunity to once again demonstrate their compassion and kindness.

Commenting, Tony said:

"I am always blown away by the generosity of residents who are so keen to help others in their time of need.

"We are all shocked at the horrific events in Ukraine, and I know that many residents are finding ways to help those people who have had to flee that country.

"I am delighted that our MP, Michael Gove, announced in Parliament today the government plans to help accommodate Ukrainian refugees.

"Earlier today, I contacted the Leader of Surrey Heath Borough Council, Cllr Alan McClafferty to ask for details that I can share with residents. He quickly responded with the following link that has just been published on the Council's Website with more information."
