Our Candidates for the West Surrey Unitary Council Elections 2026
The upcoming elections on May 7th for the new West Surrey Unitary Council, are an important moment for local government in our area.
From 2027, the new council will take responsibility for key local services including roads, education, social care and community infrastructure. This brings together functions currently delivered across different councils.
Surrey Heath will be represented by 7 wards within the new West Surrey Council, with two councillors elected for each ward in May 2026. Those elected will serve a five-year term and will initially sit on the shadow authority, helping to shape how the new council operates from day one.
Choosing the right local representatives matters. This is about who has the experience, commitment and local understanding to deliver for residents and ensure services are run effectively.
